Newhouse Out of School Club

Welcome to Newhouse Out of School Club. We provide high quality childcare ensuring both child and parents are happy. Our club offers a relaxed, fun, happy environment where children can unwind after a day at school. We promote security, self-esteem and help children develop confidence and warm and positive relationships. Children enjoy being with other children and thrive in their company.

We cater for children from reception to year 6 and is provided for children who attend our school. We can provide childcare for children on a regular basis or on an adhoc basis if we have spaces available (Parents must first read and submit the declaration on the Terms & Conditions Form). We accept all childcare vouchers. Bookings are through your Scopay account.

All our staff go through vigorous checks, such as references, health, DBS and policy and procedure training. All our staff will be familiar faces to your child/children as they all work within school. On our team we have Mrs Roach (Manager), Mrs Downing, (Manager) Mrs Chan, Mrs Boardman, Mrs Flynn (playworkers) & Mrs Matthews (Admin & Finance Support).

Our Breakfast Club routine allows you to drop your child off anytime from 7.45am. They will have a variety of choices of breakfast options to choose from along with a drink.  We finish serving breakfast at 8.25am. Games, drawing and lots of activities are provided to keep all children occupied. Children will then be taken to class for their morning registration by a member of staff.

In After School Club we will collect your child from class each night and supervise them to the Club. A member of staff will then take the register when all the classes have arrived. Children are served a light tea such as sandwiches/wraps with various fillings, crackers, fresh fruit, veg and sometimes cake/biscuits! We offer a wide variety of games, jigsaws, construction, dolls, arts and crafts activities, drawing, baking and plenty more. We will also have the use of the outside playing area and have lots of outdoor equipment, bikes and den making being popular choices! You will be required to sign out your child when picking them up and please let us know if anyone other than yourselves are collecting.

In our Club we believe play is an essential part of every child’s life and is vital for the enjoyment of childhood as well as for social, physical, intellectual, creative, emotional development. Children also gain flexibility, freedom and have fun. Through play children develop resilience by taking risks, dealing with new and novel situations which help them develop skills which will see them through life such as communication skills, problem solving, trial and error, social rules, social skills, increasing their self-awareness and self-esteem. It is through play that children learn to engage and interact in the world around them and provides opportunities to learn about their environment and the wider community. It also allows them to increase in confidence through developing new skills, promoting their imagination and independence.

Please feel free to contact us if you need any further assistance. Please also see our terms and conditions policy regarding payment and contact details.

We look forward to meeting your child and making them feel very welcome.
