GDPR

We have been protecting data since the legislation came into force in 1998, and we already take great care of the information given to us.

Our school aims to ensure that all data collected about staff, pupils, parents, governors, visitors and other individuals is collected, stored and processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), which came into force on 25th May 2018, and the expected provisions of the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018).

This includes having to ask you for consent for some things where we do not have another basis for processing and don’t already have a suitable consent; if you do not respond we will assume you do not consent as required by the “opt-in” regulations in the new law. Most processing in schools is governed by various laws so does not need a separate consent, but this is not always the case.

We ask parents to support any changes being made to school systems to help easily facilitate the secure transfer and processing of information by:

♦  Reading the privacy notices & policies

♦  Responding to the consent/permission requests sent out by email and confirming your preferences.

♦  Letting us know if there are any changes to the consent preferences.

♦  Updating your home address and contacts with us when changes are made.
